The World Don't just revolve around 2 teams....

Suzuki Cup, that's the aim for this year. Hopefully, it'll go well...

So it's set then. Raddy will lead the line for this year's Suzuki Cup in search for redemption. Quite possibly, this is his last chance to at least return the Lions to the pinnacle of Southeast Asian football and who knows, if we manage to get a good run, it'll springboard to greater success such as the Asian Cup Qualification.

And that's a tournament we should look forward to alongside other continental tournaments such as the AFC Cup competitions or aim to at least participate in the Asian Champions League for our clubs.

Only that can we test our talent against the best in Asia. Well, already we are lacking top quality international friendlies.

" We must understand that we have launched S.League version 2.0 and we are trying to work towards a more professionally managed schedule"

Sounds familiar? Yes, that's the president talking when quizzed on the lack of friendlies. And from that, the only thing that we can UNDERSTAND is that you are blaming the S.League's development as the main reason why OUR NATIONAL TEAM is failing? Owh come on!

ridiculous quotes... (click for the article)

Fast forward a few days later...

"The only way to rebuild is to ensure that there is a strong pipeline of players coming through our ranks. With the LionsXII and the Courts Young Lions doing well, we are hoping that the pipeline will be strong with those new players available for national team selection"

There you go! Already it is stated that the national team players are most likely selected from your beloved team that is not playing in the S.League, so HOW THE HELL is it the S.League's fault?

And for the record, Singapore football doesn't revolve around those two teams and to say that, is just an insult to all the other local clubs and all the other local players who are in contention for national team selection.

Just so you know, if you haven't already known, the S.League players deserve more than this. Hopefully, Raddy has saw enough talent in the S.League and choose truly the best players for our national team that suits tactics, playing style and of course, players with discipline.

Singapore football doesn't revolve around just few teams. And the media, this message is for you as well!
