It was just a year ago that you guys didn't want to go out of the dressing room even close to midnight because all of you were in tears after that defeat to Flamengo.
It was just a year ago that we, the LATW, stayed outside with our songs and drumbeats, annoying the hell out of the Jalan Besar residents, eagerly waiting to see you outside the FAS office.
And look where you are now. The tears that maybe were shed are now the tears of joy.
Each and everyone of you DESERVE to celebrate this win over Vasco Da Gama.
Perhaps, it is easy to get carried away with this thumping win. But then again, how can you not be proud and how can you not celebrate after just defeating the youth side of one of the most famous Brazilian football teams?
With a coach like Dejan, nobody else needs to remind you that there is still another job to be done. And maybe, even if you clinch the Lion City Cup tomorrow, there is still years of hardwork to put in in your careers ahead. But tomorrow is certainly a big day.
Fear not. Lions All The Way Crew has vowed to be even louder in the stands and singing ferociously for you guys. We will try to get more Singapore fans around us to do the same for the whole 80 minutes for the team and coach that has become very special to us.
Win, or lose in the final, you (the under 16s) must know that we will be behind you. This is the last stretch. Fight, like you have never fought before!
And to the Under 15 team playing against Porto in the scorching heat at 3pm, this message goes out to you as well!
