Why Always Us ?

On one hand they call on fans to be positive. But on the other, they feed us with nonsense.

It was supposed to be our Europa League, but look at the stands...

The faithful are being stepped on again.

Never mind about the fact that fans have to choose between supporting a Lions XII side or an S.League side flying the flag on the continental front.

Never mind the fact that a "home game" for the S.League champions against the best in what the region has to offer was forced to be played at the home of the rivals. (try telling Man Utd to play at Anfield for their home game).

Never mind the fact that they have depicted a scene that there wasn't any football played in this nation for the past 17 years.

But for the very fact that they can talk SHIT about Singapore football and dominate their headlines, choosing that over proper match reports and coverage is simply, SHIT.

Don't ever bother writing on "It is up to fans to save the Singapore Football" or "The team is created for you" or "the fans are the 12th man" when in the blink of an eye, you play down Singapore football and even go as far as to talk SHIT about our national team and our junior sides.

What a shame when Bruneian TV can broadcast S.League matches. What a shame when Japanese media can talk about Singaporean youth footballers. What a shame when our very own teams playing in a continental tournament doesn't even have a telecasted game.

Why the wait? Waiting for our teams to be successful? That's just pathetic isn't it?

For your information, what kind of logic is there when there is more support when things are looking good?

From paper to paper, it has all been like that. Why? Why? Why?

Exciting, thrilling S.League matches are relegated to small snippets in the papers but negative stories such as the racism issue and even a controversial book can god damn it dominate your headlines for days!

Well done indeed.

In fact, as much debate as to whether our coach Raddy should stay or go, one thing is for sure, RADDY WAS RIGHT to shoot down your god damn reporters on your gutter journalism tactics a few weeks back.

So how does it feel to get kicked right where it hurts? Sure, you have the power of the pen. So what do you do with it?

Already it was clearly obvious that you are jumping on the bandwagon and prove to become the biggest glory hunters of them all. And don't get me started on "bribing" fans with t-shirts, free tickets to come and support "our team".

One thing is for sure, SINGAPORE FOOTBALL DESERVES BETTER COVERAGE THAN THE NONSENSE WE ARE HAVING.

If you boast the power to change mentality, why not do it positively?

If you think that selling papers can only be done by sensationalizing rubbish, then what a sad state we are in right now. Stop being so negative, please.

We don't do walking out...

7-1, 8-1, 9-1... god damn it, we will still support and believe......

Some have asked, after all these poor results, why aren't we tired of supporting or better still, want coach to be sacked.

Well, we don't do finding scapegoats in the team's performances. In fact, if we have to blame someone, we will look into the mirror and ask ourselves whether we, LATW Crew, have done enough to support Singapore football as fans and to make it prosper. Fans are after all the 12th men and football is a team game after all.....

Sometimes, it pains us as well that we cannot be there at away games, no matter how far. But that's Singaporean life for you.

So to set the record straight, what we do is hope to create a positive atmosphere for the players and team to do well and that includes the coach, the management and right down to the physios or the kitman. We hope to support them day in and day out, no matter their performances. Yes, personal opinions on the coach and players may differ but as far as we are concern, we hope that through support, the team will be motivated to perform better.

Supporting football has evolved to many different ways. For us, we believe in encouraging and motivating.

In a country where fans are plenty and the "boo boys" even more, it doesn't hurt to be the ones who throw in undying positive support as well does it?

And as long as you are a Lion giving your best, we've got your back. 100 % !

and owh, to that certain cab driver with the "sack raddy" sign at one corner of the terminal, our message to you is : If you've got the guts to write that, then at least have the guts to show your face will you? If not, your opinion will not even be worth 2 cents!
